Reviews
Myself and a friend stayed at the Capsule Residence for five nights. It was overall a great stay, the rooms were cozy and the staff were very nice. The pods can get a bit humid/stuffy in the night time so it’s best to bring a little fan with you that you can plug in and you’ll be fine then. The only issues that were found are with the bathrooms. The bathrooms are generally tiny (but this was expected) and some of the shower spaces don’t have hooks on the backs of the door for your stuff, so you should bring a bag with you when you’re going so you don’t have to lay your items on the floor. I’m also not sure what the cleaning schedule is like since i was out of the hotel for most of my stay, but the bathrooms can get dirty. They would need to be cleaned multiple times a day and i’m unsure if they are even consistently cleaned once a day. You also definitely would want to take shower shoes with you as there are people constantly in and out of the showers as well in the morning/evening. Another thing to point out is there are no hair dryers available and they only offer one type of towel for the shower. There is also no locks on the pod doors for the capsule RESIDENCE location either, but the doors magnetically shut, so while you can’t keep anyone from possibly opening the door, the door does remain closed throughout the night. Overall though, my stay was very positive. As a young female traveller i felt safe in the pods and i would recommend staying here for a visit to Montreal!!
Great place for ones who look for budget and enjoying the city and look only for night stay. A convenient place for all fun hapenning around. Eaay public transit access and lot of options. Only issue was the temperature in capsules were high, may be it was because of summer and woke up severaL times mid night due to sweating. All the rest was great.
I recently stayed at Capsule Residence and overall it was a cool experience with nice staff, but for a brand new place I expected a little more, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. The washrooms with the sink and toilets were very small, and one of the toilet seats was broken during our stay. The shower room on our floor also constantly had a soaking wet floor, which made it a bit uncomfortable to use. I feel like there could be a better system in place to keep the water contained or cleaned up more often. The actual capsules were very warm. Even though there are two vents inside, they don’t seem to push enough air through to properly cool the pod down. Including a small fan in each capsule could make a huge difference and make sleeping much more comfortable. The mattresses are very thin, but if you’re mainly there just to sleep for a night or two, it’s manageable. One thing that did concern me a bit were the pod doors. They’re only held shut by a magnet that isn’t very strong, so the doors open pretty easily. I think adding locks similar to the ones used on the lockers would help people feel more secure and improve the overall experience. Overall, it’s a unique place to stay and the staff were friendly, but there are definitely a few improvements that could make the experience much better
Really enjoyed my stay here. The capsule hotel was very clean, well organized, and offered great value for the price. The location was excellent, close to everything. Would recommend
