My fianceé and I went here on a whim last night not expecting much more than a decent drink and cool place to hang out. What we got was the most welcoming experience I have ever had. J-maxx and the guys at the bar were all so nice and I really made our first day in Montreal memorable.
That hot chocolate in the dinosaur mugs was the highlight of my night after the Suns game. Honestly, I am the real prize here, and a smart cute guy would introduce himself before someone else beats him to it. You know where to find me.
Drinks: A+, the owner and staff know what they’re doing, and they do it well. You can give a vague description of what you want, and they’ll run with it. Ambience: a cozy yet refined atmosphere, with a cute little terrace out front. On the quiet nights it makes for a great date spot, but often enough they hold events that are a bit more hustle n’ bustle, which isn’t a bad thing at all. As someone who lives in the neighbourhood, it’s nice to have a “Cheers” type of place to go to, as the crowd is varied but chill. Highly recommend ❤️ I’d say the only thing missing is a more extensive food menu, but since they don’t have a kitchen the snacks will suffice.
