We stopped in on a Sunday morning with our two kids and it was way more relaxed than I expected, with plenty of room to spread out without feeling cramped. The staff were genuinely warm and patient with the little ones, and our server took the time to walk us through the brunch options without making us feel rushed. My husband and I both ordered the eggs Benedict and honestly it was some of the best we've had in Montreal, perfectly poached with a house hollandaise that had just the right kick. Definitely adding this to our regular Sunday rotation when we want something a bit more special without a long wait.
A great place for conversation or dinner with a long list of awesome brews. I saw groups and solo diners too. Friendly servers and you decide the size of your pours: from tasting glasses to full pints. I wish they included a few ciders to their taps.
Made it to recommended Dieu du Ciel (Montreal) ! Got the Pilsner, German amber Lager, Märzen, and Bitter on cask (the bitter is the dark one). The bitter was really, really great (as an English Mild). Second best mild I ever had (Sarah Hughes is 1st). The German beers were solid but not German level. All and all a great experience.
Dieu du Ciel’s beer selection was fantastic 🍻. The menu that was easy to access through a QR code 📱 and pricing displayed by the ounce 📋. My boyfriend chose a beer brewed with three New Zealand hops 🌿, while I opted for a pale ale 🍺. We initially sat outside on the terrace enjoying the sunshine ☀️, although that proved to be short-lived when the weather changed 🌦️. The server helpfully moved us inside when the rain arrived ☂️. The bar sits on a quieter road than others in Mile End, which created a relaxed daytime atmosphere. The crowd was friendly 😊, and plenty of people around us seemed to be enjoying the menu as much as we were 🍽️. Dieu du Ciel is somewhere I would gladly return to on a future visit to Montreal ✨. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My favourite beer bar/brewery during my stay in Montreal. Super range of draught and bottled beers, including two great cask beers. I didn't get the chance to try the food, but judging by the amount of locals eating, it must be good.
