Vibe was straight fire. Properly quiet during the day and easy to talk. The pub atmosphere was executed perfectly. Lily was a great bartender and enjoyable to talk to. Also prompt with drink orders. Very nice, will definitely be back next time I’m in the city (from upstate New York).
Popped in as part of a self-organized 2-day Mordecai Richler "pilgrimage" around Le Plateau and the Golden Square Mile. Ziggy, the owner, let us in even though the bar wasn't officially open. Lovely guy. A Montreal legend in his own right. Talk to him about all of the Montreal sporting, political and literary "royalty" that has passed through his bar over the past many decades. Simply astounding (including heroes of mine such as Beliveau, Dryden, and of course Richler).A truly wonderful experience. If you're interested in Montreal history you should definitely make this part of your visit.
This place is sick, no food but great liquor, atmosphere and music!!! We were visiting from Alberta and we were welcomed with open arms. They even put on the elks game for us! Much love to Montreal! Google won't let me ad a photo or I would! Coolest spot ever! Lilly was absolutely fantastic to me and my Girlfriend! 5 star service!
As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of Canada I visited here, Thursday night Montreals playing pub packed, manager handing out vodka shots great vibe. Really enjoyed it here.
