If you’re looking for great seafood without the fuss, this is an excellent choice. It’s just a short walk from Old Montreal, in a fantastic location, with a spacious and inviting patio. We started with two very fresh oysters 🦪, followed by a bowl of clam chowder to share, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For our main dishes, we had the lobster roll and the lobster poutine. Both were generously portioned, packed with lobster, and beautifully prepared. A special mention goes to their homemade mayonnaise—it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria made with tequila, which was surprisingly generous and offered excellent value for the price. The prices are very reasonable considering the location and the quality of the food. Our bill came to about CAD $169 before tip, which included the oysters, chowder, two lobster entrées, and the pitcher of sangria. We didn’t make it to dessert because we were already full. If you’re visiting Montreal and want a relaxed spot with delicious seafood at fair prices, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Last but not least, my server Florence was very sweet, as was everyone I encountered. They seemed pleased to deal with me, which is no small statement. I will be back to recreate this day if I can.

Pincette - Bar à Homard is a seafood restaurant located in the busy tourist section of Old Montreal. We visited in mid-May 2026 and had some really good food. For drinks, we had the Mint Refresher ($12) with mint, white cranberries, and gingerale as well as the Peachy Mood ($12) with peach, blood orange, and lime. Both quite refreshing. For our food, we started with the Snow Crab Ceviche ($24) with black garlic aioli and then moved on to the Lobster Tagliatelle ($42) with black mullet caviar and the Garlic Shrimps ($25) with butter, garlic, and croutons. Pricewise, dishes trend towards the expensive side but in-line with seafood prices and the touristy area. However, the food is quite good and has plenty of flavour. Loved the black mullet caviar in the tagliatelle. This was one of our fav meals during our visit to Vieux-Montréal.
Tonight we headed for this nice-looking lobster bar. We were hoping for some lobster freshly cooked to order, but unfortunately they only had pre-cooked. Never mind, the menu had lots of good options. We started with a few oysters to get us going. These were smallish - just as we like them, sweet and lovely. Then I chose: - Crispy Shrimps: Wakame, wasabi mayo and nori chips Follwd by: - Mussels & Fries: Iberian chorizo, confit tomatoes, cream, white wine, served with fries The shrimps were really good and I really liked the accompaniments. A good combination. The mussels were fat and delicious and the addition of the chorizo was excellent. The meal was made all the better by an excellent server. Very nice evening.
