We had some very delicious food when we came by late evening and at first we thought it was quite pricey but after getting the large portions we figured it was well worth it. Place looks well cared for a clean unlike some other restaurants in the Chinatown area but most importantly the staff was very kind and friendly!
We asked a local woman for a recommendation and she told us about Mon Nan! We ordered the spicy honey beef, egg rolls, and vegetable fried rice and they were all excellent. We are so grateful for her help finding this restaurant. You should try Mon Nan, too! I took the photo after we started eating, so the presentation is not as pretty as when they brought it to the table.
The food was AMAZING, and the prices were very reasonable. I’m honestly surprised there aren’t long lineups! The clams, sesame beef, and eggplant tofu pot were all delicious. I wish I had taken more photos of the other dishes we ordered, but everything looked so good that we immediately started eating.
15 years of eating at mon nan and counting. A montreal classic with the best chinese food, their salt and pepper chicken is the BEST chicken I’ve ever had. If you’re headed out for chinese food, mon nan is a must stop!
