What an awesome experience! You can choose your meal before you eat but to me that defeats the whole purpose. We did the chef’s choice. Everything was very well explained beforehand and clear instructions. Man it’s a trip coming out of that room after being in the dark for so long. The whole dining room joined in in singing happy birthday to someone and it was cool because people don’t normally do that because I guess we get embarrassed easily even as adult. I don’t want to be rude because I really did like it but the food wasn’t 5-star. It’s still not as bad as some people say though.
Such an incredible and unique experience eating in complete darkness. Sammi was our waiter and he was amazing. The food portions were incredible. I don't think I've ever gotten than full in any restaurant other than all you can eat places haha and the food was delicious.
This was truly an experience unlike any other! Its hard to capture what this experience was like in so few words. To sum it up, it transformed the way we view our senses and our relationships to food and the way we eat. With the inability to see, the taste of the food was on another level. It was also such a pleasure sharing this experience with strangers. We made friends sharing this one of a kind dinner with people we have and never will see again. My boyfriend and I both ordered surprise cocktails, and alternated our 3 courses with surprises and chosen courses and everything was phenomenal! Our server Mazen was extraordinary and it was such a privilege to be served by him! We would highly recommend everyone dine here at least once!
A totally unique experience. I got surprises for every course so I really didn't know what i was getting into, and all the food was surprisingly delicious and easy to eat without sight. However I can't recommend anything since the surprises are off menu. They seem to have designed the dishes well for eating in the dark. Not being able to see made me appreciate the smells/textures much more and the dishes were designed to have a lot of variety! Our waitress Sophia was clear and helpful and has a calming presence which is great when you are slightly unsettled in the dark. I recommend you try it once - it is interesting what your expereince of the dark will be. I didn't mind it much at all and found it pretty easy to eat. We were against a wall which i liked - it helped ground me. If we were in the middle of the room I think i would have felt a little more on edge.
