Comedy show at Estrella. Lovely evening, service was good but drinks were alright Atmosphere great as it was Comedy night, cant complain!
I had an amazing experience at Estrella, and a huge part of that was thanks to Josalyn. From the moment we were seated, she brought such warm energy, professionalism, and genuine care to our table. Josalyn is the kind of server who makes you feel truly welcome, not rushed, not overlooked — just perfectly taken care of. Her attention to detail, timing, and recommendations were spot on, and she made the entire experience feel effortless. Beyond being incredibly attentive, she has such a beautiful personality. Friendly, kind, confident, and thoughtful — she elevated the whole evening. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows in every interaction. It’s rare to come across service that feels this natural and sincere. Management should know that Josalyn is a true asset to your team. She represents Estrella beautifully and deserves recognition for the level of hospitality she delivers. Servers like her are what turn a good restaurant into a memorable experience. Highly recommend Estrella — and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Josalyn, you’re in great hands.
Go for the comedy, not the food. We were 2 on a Wed night. I ordered steak-frites which would have been good but suffered from DCS - distracted chef syndrome. They obviously left one side on the grill too long and charred it. If course, it was served charred side down. No comp offered. My companion ordered the karaaje chicken which lacked mango and/or papaya flavours. Service was very good. About 2/3rds of the comics were funny enough and the host was excellent. Avoid for food, go for the show.
Attended comedy show. 3 of the 5 comedians were funny. We had some appetizers and they were ok. Unfortunately the drink specials are misleading. They had 2 for 1 advertised after comedy show. We had two drinks and they charged $18 per drink. This was quite the trap. Not impressed by place. Will try other places in town.
