Came for the infamous $1 deal. I grabbed a dozen and they came out quickly. They were small, but well-cleaned. They were on the minerally side and were a good value. I also got the $29 lunch special - roasted cauliflower salad to start and lobster roll entree. The cauliflower salad was better than expected. Well seasoned and the texture was great. I enjoyed the charred pieces of cauliflower in there in contrast with the tomatoes. The lobster roll came with a choice of fries or salad with a ginger soy dressing. I opted for the salad. The dressing was flavorful and the salad may have been overdressed, but I like a wet salad. The lobster roll came in one of the things that gentrified taco places serve tacos in, so I was nervous, but it was a good lobster roll. It had a nicely toasted bun and a good amount of meat. It could have used a dash of salt and a squeeze of lemon. Overall, I was pleased to get the quality and amount of food that I did (plus a house red beer) for around $65, including tip. This would be a nice date or business lunch spot.
The food is excellent the wait staff is excellent. It is a little loud so it's hard to talk, but that's okay. The concierge at chateau Champlain recommended it and he was right on the spot. The Chinese tuna salad and the cedar plank salmon was really good.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible food and top-tier service! I was recently in Canada for a week on a business trip and ended up eating here twice—that’s how good it is! A huge shoutout to our servers, Louis and Kim. They provided an incredibly high standard of service, making us feel welcome, well taken care of, and completely at home both times. The atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic, and the hospitality was unmatched. I will definitely be eating here again next time I'm in town! Highly recommended!
What an Excellent restaurant! They have impeccable service (shout out to our server Judy!) and the everything we ordered was amazing. The raw oysters were super fresh, clam chowder was filled with clams, and every steak options we selected (4) were cooked to perfection. Definitely a must visit even in Montreal!
The food is amazing and the staff are very professional and friendly. For lunch, they offer a fixed-price special menu for $29, which is great value. I highly recommend the roasted cauliflower — it’s absolutely delicious. The chicken burger was super tasty and juicy, with just the right amount of spice (which I personally loved). Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience!
