An absolutely perfect dinner spot. We booked this last minute and we were looking for a nice restaurant for a group of 15 girls for my bachelorette - not an easy feat! Not only were they able to accommodate us, we were given a beautiful table beside the window, which made for such a beautiful background for such an important dinner! The service was obviously impeccable, and the food was unexpectedly spectacular. The menu was exactly what we wanted in Montreal - French food, but not too fancy to comprehend. All of the items ordered appeared to be enjoyed by my guests. The prices were also reasonable, given the prime location and beautiful restaurant - I would say around $50pp before drinks. We shared a couple bottles of lower priced wine which was minimal when the cost was split. Overall, I am so appreciative to Gaspar Brasserie Française for the wonderful dining experience. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion or date night.
Overall a positive experience. Nicholas was fantastic and attentive. We had the muscles and steak & fries. The food was good and portions were large. I would have liked a few less fries and more than two asparagus stalks. My cocktail was exceptional.
Great location, decent food but terrible slow service. It took almost 1 hour (55 minutes to be exact) to get our food after ordering. It was a weekday brunch time and the restaurant was pretty much empty, so I’m not sure why it should take so long to get our orders. The burger was decent and the croque madame was not bad. The drinks were okay too. But we left appalled why a typical lunch should take nearly 2 hours to complete.
We had an AMAZING meal tonight at Gaspar. The food? Impeccable. The atmosphere? Beautiful. And the service? Unbelievable. KHaled was amazing and so kind. Made our entire night.
We had a wonderful dinner here last night. We started with the cheese and charcuteries, which was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of the evening. For the main course, we had the steak fries, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was excellent throughout the meal. Hugo was our server, and he was professional, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. I also enjoyed the red sangria, which paired nicely with the meal. Overall, the food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. We had a great experience!
