Been coming to Le Filet for years and it never disappoints, but the visit a couple weeks ago reminded me why it's still my favourite spot in the city. The sea bream crudo was as precise and delicate as I remember, with just the right acidity to wake up your palate before the mains. The room has this warm, low-lit energy on a weekday evening that feels intimate without being stuffy. Service was attentive without hovering, which is honestly harder to pull off than most restaurants realize.

Great meal at Le Filet, playful by name and with the dishes. The dorade crudo and linguini a l’encre de seiche were tasty, not complex but with their unique signature. The portions are on a smaller side. The pairing with the organic white wine was excellent. I should probably give it another try to fully assess the small menu.
Le Filet completely impressed us. From the moment we walked in, Jesse at the host stand was warm, polished, and welcoming, and Guillaume gave us exceptional service all evening. The food was outstanding — beautifully plated, creative, and full of flavor. Every dish felt refined and memorable, from the delicate crudo to the perfectly executed seafood and the rich truffle pasta. Even dessert was stunning. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for a special night out. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Montreal. Highly recommend.
A great night out. We had their oysters as a starter - 3 different kinds. Plain, crackling maple and miso au gratin, and it was hard to decide which were the best. Then we shared an off-menu plate of gnocchi that was to die for. For main courses I had an Icelandic cod with truffles that was incredible and my partner had a melt-in-your mouth beef cheek. Dessert was a delicious maple square. They don’t advertise much as it seems they have enough of a loyal following to stay busy every night and to catch the attention of Michelin.
