Came here with my boyfriend in June on a weekend getaway. Stumbled upon this restaurant during a google search for Italian food. We showed up an hour before close and our waiter was amazing. Sheldon treated us very well, explained the menu and specials to us and answered any questions we had. We both had aperol spritz, Caesar salad and bolognese pasta. The food was very good, tasted homestyle and came out very hot. I would consider this place a hidden gem and highly recommend the stop here.
A true hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious—we ordered the Caesar salad, pasta Bolognese, and a pizza, and everything was excellent. Most importantly, our waiter, Sheldon, made the experience even better. He was incredibly kind, genuinely welcoming, and radiated such positive energy and happiness. His outstanding service made our meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Food was good. Service was reasonably good, however, we had one person with a gluten allergy. They have a gluten free menu, but it is definitely not celiac safe. They said the pizza doe gets made right beside the pasta station and flour gets everywhere. The only safe food for them to eat would have been the salads. With that said, why bother advertising a gluten free menu if you aren't taking precautions to prevent cross contamination? I might have given higher reviews if not for the gluten free offerings being most certainly cross contaminated.
A true hidden gem that delivers on every level—flavour, service, and atmosphere. Tucked slightly off the main path, this spot is well worth seeking out. Service was standout: Sheldon managed the room seamlessly as a one-man host, bartender, and server, all while remaining attentive and welcoming. The food arrived at a comfortable pace and exceeded expectations. The penne featured a vibrant basil flavour with a perfectly crisp, gratinéed cheese topping. The meat lasagna was exceptional—rich, well-balanced, and cooked al dente (easily one of the best we’ve had). Even the burger, though slightly small, was prepared exactly to preference, and the fries were outstanding. The space is stylish yet relaxed, with thoughtful details like linen tablecloths and a cohesive, modern aesthetic. Pricing is very reasonable for a downtown location near Old Montreal. A small note for improvement: the washroom setup could be refined, as it felt a bit cramped and was missing soap during our visit. Overall, an easy recommendation for anyone looking for high-quality food and genuine service in a comfortable, unpretentious setting.
My husband and I went to this Italian restaurant after ice skating on Valentine’s Day, and it was such a great choice! The waitress was polite and very helpful. We ordered a Margherita pizza — super simple, but extremely delicious. We also had the penne alla vodka pasta, and it was sooo good! For dessert, we chose tiramisu, which was absolutely beyond amazing, and a pistachio cannoli. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly made. A great restaurant for a quiet date night 🤍✨
