It’s a good steakhouse, one of a few good ones in the Montreal and area. They are all good but for the Rib one of its items that is a stand out piece is their prime rib , the Roast is the best by far not only in Montreal but but of everywhere I have traveled . The table is served fresh breads , coleslaw and dill pickles as an opener. I had a backed potato with my Prime rib but the Monty Carlo potato if you have the appetite is a great choice. They also have a very chill type cigar lounge on the second floor with a humidor if you didn’t bring your own , the lounge is pricy but offers what you can’t find everywhere.
Personally this is more of a 3.5 from my experience. The place itself, beautiful and amazing. Free valet is also a great plus. I must say some of the best service I had was from what appeared to be a server's assistant who finished her shift before I noticed and didn't have time to show her my gratitude. The menu had great options. When I ordered a table side Caesar I kind of expect to see inside the bowl and the beauty of it and not just watch someone make it, takes the beauty away when you can't see inside. The salad was okay but that might be because I'm not the biggest fan of capers. The steak... I ordered a sirloin "Flambée Au Poivre" and originally they walked out with the food until the amazing SA mentioned above mentioned to the server that I needed the table side sauce to be done. Let me just tell you the sauce wouldn't recommend, didn't enlighten the flavour profile at all. At one point my server checked on us and we ordered drinks, let's just say we are still waiting. When we were done each portion of the meal we waited a while before someone checked on us to ensure we were good. I would go back there to give it another shot but honestly the service would need to step up. The washroom is also down a flight of stairs so for people with mobility issues this isn't it.
God be thanked, my husband and I celebrated our 42nd Wedding Anniversary here. The food was amazing—SO expensive but delectable! A complimentary dessert was offered to us on this special occasion. The wait staff were very attentive.
The experience at this restaurant was impeccable. Sami was phenomenal from start to finish. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had 5 star service. We cannot say enough kind things about him. The food was top notch. We ordered the tuna tar tar, ribeye, and prime rib beef. We highly recommend coming here, the food is 100% worth the price, as well as the service.
Great experience! Excellent food, ambiance and especially service! You pay for all the quality this restaurant offers! From opening doors, to pulling out my chair, providing warm hand cloths, to preparing the cesar salad in front of you.. all of it is 5 star! Will definitely be back!!!
