We came here with a group of 10 and ordered the set menu. There was an impressive amount of food, and the portions were very generous, we even had leftovers to take home. The overall value was excellent considering how much we ate. The food was good and tasted very authentic, though I did feel that a few dishes were a bit repetitive in terms of ingredients and preparation. Also, on this particular visit, several dishes leaned a little saltier than I would have preferred. Service was what you’d typically expect from a busy Cantonese restaurant: efficient and straightforward. Overall, it’s a solid spot for large family-style meals, especially if you’re looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine and great value.
Delicious, authentic Chinese food - highly highly recommend! Visited twice in one week. Our favorites were pork collar stir fry, sweet and sour pork, steamed scallop and fried soft shell crab. Sadly they didn't have razor clams when we went. Lobster didn't have enough meat and gravy was a little too starchy/gloopy for my taste. Fish maw soup was basic but good. Really loved this place, full of elderly Cantonese speaking clientele. Just bring an empty stomach and no expectations for 3 star service ;)
This restaurant deserves better rating. We were so glad we went despite the low ratings. If you want authentic Chinese food, order the dishes listed on the wall in Chinese only. The eggplant and tofu, pork belly, and beef chow fun were all amazing!
What an amazing meal this was!! We got the smallest combo there was which included a soup, steamed salted chicken, stir fry beef with bok choy, steamed fish, sweet and sour pork, and white rice. My favourite was the steamed salted chicken — really brought me home for a moment. All this we got for an incredible value of around $70, though if you want to pay with cash you have to let the server know beforehand. We learnt it the hard way when we asked at the register post meal. In hindsight, we probably should not have gotten this combo as a party of two as the portion sizes are very large and we definitely struggled to finish everything. As a party of two, definitely just order à la carte as it will be easier on the wallet as well. Favourite thing is that they serve complimentary taro sago dessert to end the dinner!! Overall a wonderful meal and is definitely going to be one I think about once in a while.
We celebrated New Year’s Eve here and had a fantastic experience! The service was efficient and the food was incredibly fresh. The Experience The owner started us off with a complimentary large bowl of Savory Soup. It was slow-boiled with assorted meats and herbs—deeply umami and the perfect way to open our appetite. Despite the holiday rush, the serving speed was impressively fast. The Food We ordered a variety of traditional Cantonese dishes, and every single one hit the mark: • Steamed Green Grouper (清蒸青斑): Perfectly cooked, flaky, and seasoned with the right amount of soy and ginger. • Deep-Fried Stuffed Large Intestine (百花酿大肠): A standout dish! The intestines were crispy on the outside and stuffed with a savory shrimp paste. • Garlic Steamed Razor Clams & Oysters (蒜茸蛭子 / 蒜茸生蚝): Very fresh seafood with bold garlic flavors. • Deep-Fried Milk (炸鲜奶): A delightful, creamy dessert with a perfect golden crunch. • Sautéed Pork Neck with XO Sauce (XO 酱炒猪颈肉): Tender meat with great savory depth. • Pea Shoots in Superior Broth (上汤豌豆苗): Fresh, tender greens that balanced the meal. • Sampan Congee (艇仔粥): Comforting, silky texture with plenty of ingredients. Value For the quality and quantity of food we received, the price was very reasonable. It came out to about $64 per person for a group of four. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Cantonese cuisine and excellent seafood!
