The food was absolutely amazing! I will definitely come back for more in the future! The only thing that we were not a big fan of was the ice cream in the dessert. The hyssop tastes a bit odd. I think it’s better choice with meat.

One of the best restaurants of the year. The menu was amazing and had a great variety of dishes. The cadence was also good, good timing and service. They also introduced some new textures to our palette. The best part is the great value, around $100 per person for this level of culinary is unseen.

Each dish feels like a completely different surprise. Unique presentations, unexpected combinations, and incredibly well-balanced flavours… With every plate, you find yourself thinking, “How can this be this good?” The chef’s creativity and technical skill are truly top level. The presentations are like works of art on their own they impress you visually as well. Since the menu changes regularly, it feels like you’ll have a different experience every time you visit. If you’re looking for something truly “different” and unforgettable in Montréal, this place is definitely at the top.

An absolutely outstanding experience at Restaurant Mastard. We made a reservation in advance, as we came all the way from Toronto specifically to experience this cuisine — and it was truly worth it. The restaurant is small and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. We chose the five-course tasting menu, and each dish impressed us more than the last. Every course was refined, creative, and beautifully executed. There wasn’t a single dish we didn’t love. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Julien, who took care of us throughout the evening. His service was flawless — attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. He made our experience exceptional. As someone who has visited many Michelin-starred restaurants, I can confidently say Mastard truly deserves its one star — and in terms of food quality, they could absolutely aim for a second. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Came here for the first time for an anniversary celebration, and I am more than happy with the experience. The restaurant prepares dishes with rich flavors brought out from locally sourced high quality ingredients. Most ingredients except for the fish come from Quebec. The food was cooked perfectly the cocktails are exceptional. We would come back for the drinks alone. While the culinary experience was excellent, it did feel like each dish had the same buttery and rich undertone. There was not as much variety when it came to flavor. The foie gras, which was extra, is an exception to that statement. The finishers were excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to bite into a dessert that was not too sweet. Service was very good. Warm and hospitable staff who made sure everything was good. Overall, very well deserving of its michelin star status. At its price point, I think it is an experience worth having!
