Marc is simply the bomb in terms of mixology! From a fresh twist on a hibiscus infused tequila based cocktail to the perfect vesper martinis and old fashions. We were treated to a show of his skills while seated at the bar and were privileged to enjoy the in-house prepared foie gras followed by a very fresh and flavourful beef tartar. The pavlova for dessert was also off the chart. We will definitely come back every chance we get. This place has never disappointed me through the many years and has gotten better with time.
It was an excellent experience. I proposed to my now fiancée here and they made the experience very nice. The ambiance is really nice and not over the top. The place was well but dimly lit, allowing for a very romantic and intimate experience. We ordered steaks and had scallops and brioche as apps which were also incredible. I told the restaurant before about the proposal and they made sure to give us above and beyond service. Would go again :)
Returning to Montreal after 10 years, I had to revisit one of my favorite meals ever. The menu has changed, but the experience has not. We had a wonderful evening. Bavette and Duck Breast were both perfect. I did feel 10 years older ;).
Absolutely loved Barroco! We were in Montreal for 24hours and chose this restaurant. The place is small and classic with rustic vibes. Ambience was romantic and intimate. The porcelain plates were perfect and traditional. The service was excellent! Our server kindly improved the old fashioned we ordered! Last but not least, the food exceeded my expectations — the filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the braised beef was soft and delicious…impeccable!!
What an amazing experience! The lights off the streets attracted us in and the vibe, décore and wonderful service made us instantly know we were in the perfect spot. We sat at the bar and Marc was our host. he makes the best drinks and was honestly one of the most genuine great people I’ve met in a long time. The food was delicious and every item we saw come from the kitchen made us want to order even more. Thank you Marc and see you again soon!
